Ka Ua Paliloa Ka Ua Paliloa is the parent-teacher partnership of two unique school programs, Pūnana Leo o Waimea and ʻAlo Kēhau o ka ʻĀina Mauna. Our mission is to support and perpetuate the growth of kaiāʻōlelo Hawaiʻi Hawaiian Language Medium Education in North Hawaiʻi through a curriculum founded on the Kumu Honua Mauli Ola (an educational philosophy to develop one’s essence). Pūnana Leo o Waimea first opened its doors in 1995 and has graduated more than 300 keiki from preschool. In 2011, ʻAlo Kēhau o ka ʻĀina Mauna was established in Waimea, as a satellite location of Ke Kula ʻO Nāwahīokalaniʻōpuʻu, providing an opportunity for children in North Hawaiʻi to continue in a rigorous, culturally relevant, Hawaiian-medium elementary education. Hoʻomaikaʻikaʻi i nā ʻohana o Ka Ua Paliloa!!! With focused determination we successfully added Papa 7 this 2017/2018 SY. Mahalo nunui mākou no ke kākoʻo ʻana nā haumāna o ʻAlo Kēhau o ka ʻĀina Mauna.
